Inspiration

There’s those moments where I’m drawing and all I can do is scream and rip up the work because what I’m producing on paper, isn’t what I have in mind. All artists go thru it. If you say you don’t, then you’re a liar and a cheat!
So what do I do when I have those moments? Besides, biting my pencils and praying to Cthulhu?
I go thru my book shelf and oogle all my favorite artists.
Here’s a taste of some of my books.

Probably 5% of all the art books I collect. I have books from Frazetta, Alphonse Mucha, Adam Hughes, J Scott Campbell, Leinil Yu and so on. I can’t go to any Comic Con with out buying two book bags and a long plastic tube worth of art. If ‘Highlander’ was real, most of these artists would be in trouble, for I’d be going for their head to gain their power.

I collect too much art. I won’t have enough frames and wall space when I finally put everything up.

Here’s my latest pick up.
Nathan Fox. His inking gives me chills. There’s so much action in his work.

Siked to have that hand painted NAUGHTY BUT NICE holiday skate deck. Awesome Christmas gift.

And the rest of my inspiration comes from my guy. He’s an avid toy collector so we go hand in hand. We understand each other’s addictions. And he always knows how to make me smile.
Who else would get me a Batman birthday cake. In January. When my birthday’s in July.
